Deadpool and Wolverine Surprise Fans with Playful Disney Plus Reveal

Excitement surrounds the recent reveal of a Deadpool project featuring Ryan Reynolds, which has turned out to be a promotional piece for Disney Plus. This unexpected unveiling deviates significantly from the holiday special many fans had speculated about.

Reynolds took to his personal Twitter to share a brief clip accompanied by a playful caption hinting at the project being difficult to keep hidden. In the 15-second segment, Deadpool is spotted relaxing on a couch beside his friend Blind Al, portrayed by Leslie Uggams. They have the notorious Deadpool and Wolverine popcorn bucket with Wolverine's oversized mouth placed on Deadpool's lap. When Blind Al reaches into the bucket, Deadpool turns toward the camera and delivers a cheeky remark about Disney Plus. The amusing clip can be seen below.

Currently, the Deadpool and Wolverine feature is available for streaming on Disney's dedicated platform, as is the related documentary titled Assembled: The Making of Deadpool and Wolverine. The latest installment in the Deadpool series premiered in theaters on July 26, achieving impressive box office earnings of $1.338 billion with a production budget of $200 million.

The documentary featuring behind-the-scenes footage includes discussions with Reynolds, director Shawn Levy, and executive producer Wendy Jacobson, Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, and others. This feature reveals several abandoned concepts for the sequel, one of which involved an extensive collection of deleted scenes intended to show that our favorite antihero has actually been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe all along, with much of his footage left on the cutting room floor.
