Full Circle is gearing up for a more structured console playtest scheduled for fall 2024. They've promised to provide additional insights into what players can look forward to, though specific timing for these updates remains undisclosed.

The title Skate, previously referred to as Skate 4, was first revealed during EA Play in 2020, with the development stage then described as "very early." Since that announcement, Full Circle has actively engaged with the community through closed playtests and shared numerous updates regarding the game’s progress via their video series, "The Board Room."

In 2022, the developer confirmed that the game’s official title would be ‘skate.’ and that it would be available as a free-to-play option across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms.
