Batman: Arkham Trilogy's Switch Debut Shifted to December

It seems that Batman fans will have to exercise a bit more patience as Warner Bros. Interactive has announced a delay in the release of Batman: Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. Initially set to hit the market on the 13th of October, the release date has now been pushed back to the 1st of December. The company has cited the need for additional time to ensure the best possible gaming experience for players on the Nintendo Switch platform. They've expressed regret for any disappointment the delay may cause and have thanked fans for their continued patience.

The Batman: Arkham Trilogy is a celebrated series of games by Rocksteady. The collection includes 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman: Arkham City from 2011, alongside the 2015 Batman: Arkham Knight. Interestingly, the 2013 prequel Batman: Arkham Origins, developed by Warner Bros. Montréal, is not part of the trilogy. However, the bundle is rich with additional content, as all the respective DLCs will be included.

Each game arrives with its own set of extras. Batman: Arkham Asylum offers the Insane Night and Prey in the Darkness packs, featuring added combat and stealth challenge maps. Batman: Arkham City brings in the Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin, Challenge Map, and Arkham City skins packs. It also includes the story-based Harley Quinn’s Revenge expansion. Batman: Arkham Knight comes bundled with The Season of Infamy missions and several Batman: Arkham episodes. These include A Matter of Family (Batgirl), GCPD Lockdown (Nightwing), A Flip of a Coin (Robin), Catwoman's Revenge, and the Harley Quinn and Red Hood story packs.

The Nintendo Switch version of the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, developed by Turn Me Up Games, promises nearly 80 hours of gameplay. This calculation takes into account main missions and side content. It is evident that despite the delay, fans have a lot to look forward to, considering the rich content and variety of gameplay experiences that this package is set to provide.

Looking ahead, the next game from the Batman: Arkham universe is expected to be released on February 2, 2024. Let's hope there are no further delays in releasing this title as well. Batman fans indeed have an exciting time ahead as they will be able to explore Gotham City through the lens of the iconic caped crusader on their Nintendo Switch devices in the coming months.
